Create Art and Tea Q&A:

Q: What is Create Art and Tea’s mission?

A: To represent the Creative Spirit that inspires Art and help those that stop in Create Art and Tea to take time and see what is behind the art that is in the Gallery.

Part of my love is taking the time to discover what every person is looking for. Many folks come in just to say hi and share a cup of tea and sometimes we get to share stories and thoughts of the day. This can lead to times of caring and enjoying the art around us. The “Little Shop of Wonders” has an atmosphere of magic, care, kindness and peace. Every work of art has been created to be a gift into someone’s life. The priority is to help all who enter to see and appreciate the value of the treasures created with the artist’s passion. Each artist represented in Create has studied, developed through years of practice to give to others what they love and believe in.

Q:What do you think the importance of art is and why do we all need more of it in our lives?

A: Art through the centuries of time, as we all know, has been a source for reverie, wonderment, connection and enlightenment. The study of art is eternal. Art sets precedence for leaders to hold power, for cities to hold sights, for countries to be journeyed to. It is like trying to define the mysteries of the Universe, for Art to me, is a mystery. I believe it touches every aspect of our lives and the creative spirit that lives in us all. Creative ways of expression can be found in the most profound ways such as Mount Rushmore or  Mother Nature’s Wonder; the Grand Canyon. Or it is the way one cooks or makes a cup of tea. It can be years of study to achieve a technique or it can be a doodle of the day on a napkin in the coffee shop.

Q: How about tea? What are some common themes you might see when connecting art and tea?

Tea is an Ancient Art found in India and China dating back 5000 years. It holds bits of the Ayurveda which translates to the art of medicine and prolonging life. Many studies have shown that tea holds health benefits and can act as a preventative to disease and assists our bodies in boosting immunity. The Art of Tea has been royally honored by dynasties and cultures of ancient times and developed in many countries. The growing of the plant Camellia Sinensis is as refined and diverse as the Culture that exists behind the Art of Wine.

Q: What are some items people can expect to find inside Create Art and Tea?

A: Come say Hello and share a story of the day. As well, I hope some will take time to see all the treasures in Jewelry, Ceramics, Oils, Pastels, Watercolors, Photography of the Nature places around us, Unique Eco-dyed wearable art, Native American Art, Glass Art, Books, Cards, Metta Art and of course tea! Many enjoy having a cup of tea while browsing through, for there are many unique things tucked in all the nooks and crannies of Create.
