When it comes to trails, Durangoans love a good challenge. So why not put your money where your tread is and donate to Trails 2000? For the month of June, Trails 2000 is holding its “Dirt Drive” crowd-funding campaign with a target of $5,000.

Chalk up another one for Durango in the national zines. National Geographic named our enclave among “America’s 20 Best Mountain Bike Towns” in its May issue.

And speaking of cycling hotbeds, Durango will turn into a tent city next week as Ride the Rockies rolls into town for an extended stay June 12-14.

Over 150 cities across the country – including Durango – have declared Fri., June 2, as National Gun Violence Awareness Day.
