Do more for Ukraine

I am just writing to express my horror and heart-sickness over what is going on in Ukraine because of the horrendous invasion. I understand that NATO can only protect fellow NATO countries, and I understand that many countries, including the United States, are sending massive amounts of money and military aid to Ukraine. But, the idea that we can’t have any kind of military intervention because Ukraine is not a NATO country seems very limiting to me.

I also understand that the madman who is invading the country has threatened nuclear weapon use, but, in addition to all the military aid, Ukraine needs more combat troops, otherwise that beautiful, peaceful democracy will fall. And then, what happens after that?
