It's that time again

As First Vice Chair of the La Plata Democrats, I want to make sure you know of two important events. On Tues., March 1, we are hosting a virtual forum for all nine Democrats running against each other in the CD 03 race to win our party’s nomination. The forum is a unique opportunity to meet and ask questions of the candidates that are directly applicable to our concerns here in Southwest Colorado. We’re doing this immediately prior to our virtual Saturday, March 5 Caucus and Assembly, at which all Democrats are welcome (others may certainly attend as well, but may not vote). Pre-registration is required this year so that we can verify affiliation of the attendees. County caucuses and assemblies serve to nominate Democratic candidates for local (county) offices and are as the first step for multi-county candidates to accrue enough support to secure a place on the June primary ballot. We will be discussing candidates in two competitive races: the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives.
