Think twice

According to Matt Cornell in last week’s Durango Telegraph, “This is a scary moment.” Sure is when you are calling for the Judiciary Act to pack the Supreme Court with four new justices. Even Franklin D. Roosevelt couldn’t pack the court, and he was a heck of a lot smarter than President Joe Biden. Also, please reference the poll indicating that a majority of Americans support increasing the number of justices. And an MSNBC poll doesn’t count.

Cornell’s letter calls for a hyper-partisan supermajority of conservatives to be replaced by a hyper-partisan supermajority of progressives. Biden can’t even get the Senate to waive the filibuster rules in order to get the voting act and to codify abortion rules. Lots of luck there.

Finally, send me the link showing where abortion is mentioned in the Constitution or the Bill of Rights. We know that ownership of guns is in the Second Amendment. Colorado residents have access to abortion up until the day before delivery. Ain’t that just grand!
