Thistle – get 'em while they're young

It took me only a couple of years to eliminate thistle (I don’t recall what kind or maybe never knew) from the surface of the septic field for a house we built near Durango. The key was learning to recognize the new seedlings and pulling them while they weren’t yet prickly and well before they could produce more seeds.
