A day at the beach
What does one do when their favorite summer swimming hole is teeming with reptilian and amphibian aquatic life? Stop, and quietly admire. Creepy desert fauna are some of the most interesting (and beautiful) to observe, not to mention highly evolved and adapted to their environment. In our neck of the woods, these creatures are a sure sign of a healthy, vibrant ecosystem – including those with poison-filled hypodermic needles in their mouths. When mother earth sends us smoke signals, it's a good reminder to visit our favorite reliable water sources, and give thanks.
