Sands of time
The erosional oddities of Bisti/De-Na-Zin Wilderness located south of Farmington attract desert lovers from near and far to explore its desolate nooks and crannies. At 45,000 acres, these badlands are a veritable time-capsule where petrified wood, fossils and other once-living wonders exist, quite literally, in delicate balance with some of the most unusual erosional features found anywhere on the Colorado Plateau.
