Spring-ish

Spring hasn't quite sprung, but there is no other way to describe skiing conditions in the mountains right now. The warm weather last Saturday brought snow-shoers, skiers and snowboarders out of lift lines and into the backcountry to make fresh lines – or at least try – in the variable spring snowpack. And what better place than our own back yard on Molas Pass? There’s nothing like a little skin up and ski down to remind us that even though spring is right around the corner, winter isn't over yet.
