Still waiting to get your official local’s card? The wait is over. On Thurs., April 18, Local First unveiled its highly anticipated and much sought after “Locals Card.”

Durango will soon have a stairway to Hawk heaven. This Thurs., April 6, Trails 2000 will kick off work on the new “Project Sky Steps,” which will connect downtown to the Fort Lewis College campus by extending the Nature Trail steps. Once complete, the connect will include over 500 steps and gain over 250 feet in elevation.

Durangoans are being asked to get their groove on for a cause with the first-ever Durango shimmy mob, set for May 13.

Spring break may only be a week away, but the Purgatory Freestyle and Four Corners Freeride teams are putting the finishing touches on their ski season.

Mountain bikers aren’t the only ones coming out of hibernation. According to Bear Smart Durango, the first sign of spring has come to town.
