Going electric
Mountain bikers, start your engines. The eMTB trial period at Twin Buttes is officially under way. The one-year trial – which applies to Class I pedal-assist electric mountain bikes only – runs from June 29, 2020 - June 29, 2021, with winter seasonal trail closures in effect. eMTB riders are reminded that they are not permitted on any other City natural-surface trail and that they are expected to follow current trail etiquette, including yielding to all other trail users, regardless of direction. Riders should also ride with the trail’s general directional flow and not scare the bejesus out of slower riders.

Turns out, blondes do have more fun, or at least they get more awards. Last week, Ska Brewing won the gold medal for its True Blonde Ale in the English-Style Pale Ale category at the 2026 World Beer Cup. This is the third win for the Blonde at the World Beer Cup, held in Philadelphia on April 22 and pegged as one of the world’s most prestigious beer competitions.
