Looking for advice from other community members or wanting to know who’s still doing take-out in Durango? Let your fingers do the clicking. Last week “Stand Together Durango COVID19” launched on the FB-iverse to act as a community hub to disseminate information and support fellow community members.
“This unprecedented COVID-19 crisis is taking its toll on many small businesses,” the page’s administrator Katherine Sumrall Griego wrote. “We want to help support local businesses in the Durango area by giving them all one place to promote their business and let people in Durango know how they can still buy from them.”
Whether it is curbside dining, shopping online, an online class, buying a gift certificate for use later or just sharing helpful information, she adds, “We can all help right now.”

Turns out, blondes do have more fun, or at least they get more awards. Last week, Ska Brewing won the gold medal for its True Blonde Ale in the English-Style Pale Ale category at the 2026 World Beer Cup. This is the third win for the Blonde at the World Beer Cup, held in Philadelphia on April 22 and pegged as one of the world’s most prestigious beer competitions.
