Pass the salt
Feeling underappreciated? Applebee’s Grill & Bar (of which there is one in Durango) announced it will be serving up $1 margaritas – “Dollaritas” if you will – all month long in honor of Neighborhood Appreciation Month.
OK, we know by the time you read this, the month will be half way over, making for a lot of missed margarita-drinking potential. Fortunately, the Dollaritas – “a delicious combination of tequila and Applebee’s own margarita mix” served on the rocks – are available all day every day starting at 11 a.m. Meaning technically, yes, you can have one for breakfast. (And if those internet rumors of the Dollaritas being more like Wateritas are true, you’ll want to start early to allow plenty of time for bathroom breaks.)
So, empty out that penny jar and bladder and head down to Applebee’s to load up on some vitamin T. Just remember your limits – and only kidding about that penny thing. Nothing sours a neighborly welcome faster than having to count out a pile of change.

It’s a mash-up made in Westernwear heaven. Sort of. Seems Chaco, the purveyor of the iconic strappy dirtbag river rat footwear, has joined forces with Wrangler, as in tight jeans, big belt buckles, bull riding and snap shirt fame.

Turns out, blondes do have more fun, or at least they get more awards. Last week, Ska Brewing won the gold medal for its True Blonde Ale in the English-Style Pale Ale category at the 2026 World Beer Cup. This is the third win for the Blonde at the World Beer Cup, held in Philadelphia on April 22 and pegged as one of the world’s most prestigious beer competitions.
